Trade-In Policy for Store Credit

Crazy Four Books & Coffee welcomes the opportunity to give your gently used books a new home! We offer store credit for books in good or excellent condition that meet our trade-in criteria. We do not pay cash for books. We do not deal in antiquarian or collectible books.

What We Accept:

• Fiction & Non-Fiction: Hardcover and paperback books in a variety of genres.
• Children's Books: Picture books, chapter books, and young adult novels.

What We Don't Accept:

• Damaged Books: Books with water damage, excessive wear and tear, missing pages, torn covers, or writing/highlighting within.
• Outdated or Specialized Books: Outdated textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, or highly specialized technical books.
• Mass Market Paperbacks: Romance novels, true crime paperbacks, etc.
• Audiobooks, CDs, or DVDs: We currently only accept physical books.
• Instructional Materials: Almanacs, dictionaries, operating/instructional manuals, textbooks, encyclopedias, reader's digest books, or cookbooks.
• Unacceptable Content: Books containing excessive sexual content, graphic depictions of a sexual nature, or any content that promotes abuse (physical, sexual, mental or emotional) will not be accepted for trade-in.

Condition Guidelines:

• Excellent: Like new, minimal shelf wear.
• Good: Minor shelf wear, no damage to the spine or cover.

How it Works:

1. Bring your books (up to 30 at a time) to Crazy Four Books & Coffee during our regular business hours.
2. Our booksellers will assess your books based on condition and current stock needs. You will need to remain in the store while we process, so please be prepared to wait. Please also expect to take away any books that are on our unacceptable for trade list.
3. We will offer you store credit for eligible books.
4. Store credit can be used towards any purchase in the store (new or used books).

Using Your Store Credit Value:

• Crazy Four Books & Coffee keeps track of customer credit with an electronic database.
• New credit will be added to any previous amount on file.
• Trade credit may be used to pay for up to 50% of total purchase price (excluding tax or shipping).
• The other 50% of your purchase price must be paid for by cash, charge, check or gift certificate.
• Items purchased using store credit may not be returned.

Please Note:

• We reserve the right to refuse any book that does not meet our criteria.
• There are certain books that we just know will not perform well for our customer base. Please understand that even if your books is in excellent condition and we don't currently have a copy in stock, we may still reject. your book based on its sale-ability in our store.
• Store credit cannot be redeemed for cash.
• Trade-in credit has no expiration date.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your item(s), you may return it for a full refund, exchange, or store credit within 30 days of the purchase date.

The following items are not returnable:

Items marked as final sale.

Wearable items such as t-shirts, hats, and socks that are not in original packaging or have tags removed.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and with its original packaging. You will also need to provide the receipt or proof of purchase.
